women beginning of success

There is a step-change in the way businesses are promoting themselves. Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin are seeing huge surges in registration, as businesses realise this is where they need to be to compete in today’s market.

So what are the main differences between standard marketing / advertising, and online Social Media?

Our old ways of advertising were all very one way. A website that people can view, adverts on the TV or radio that people can see and hear, leaflets pushed through doors that people will read. All very much saying here I am, and letting people absorb that message at face value.

Where Social Media differs is that it is all about relationships. It is about engaging with exisiting and potential clients and making them feel that they matter. Answering questions, sharing experiences, asking for advice, helping and listening are all roles that good businesses are taking on in order to build stronger relationships with their clients.

So where do we come in as women? This new business arena is very suited to women’s strengths. We tend to have a more natural affinity in wanting to talk, share and support and this is going to be vital to businesses as Social Media grows. It is often the case in the office that these softer skills can be dismissed as being weak and yet now more than ever, businesses will recognise and require support from women in order to build and nurture these vital relationships.

A real way to make a difference in the world of business and really start to shine for those abilities and skills that are naturally in our make up.

attitude that should be applied to customer

We’ve established the value of content marketing here through many different posts. Most of the focus has been on creating value from content at the top of the funnel in a buying cycle. That’s where a lot of marketing dollars are focused and it’s an area of focus for the consulting offered by many online marketing agencies.

Content is the source of why search engines exist and therefore, essential for any discussion of SEO. Content is also the means through which brands engage customers on the social web through helpful information, resources, advertorial and even entertainment.

Another perspective to consider is that when brands and individuals share information on social networks and media sharing sites the outcome is content. There are many ways to be more effective with social content creation, sharing and engagement that marketers are not taking advantage of.

From an overall marketing and customer engagement perspective, all content is not created equal. Any kind of content isn’t appropriate in any kind of situation despite what recent content advocates would have you believe.  Since much of the focus of online marketing is on customer acquisition, many SEO efforts emphasize transaction or lead generation outcomes. That’s what they’re held accountable for. Unfortunately, search to purchase or social to purchase are not the only ways people interact with information online. Research before purchase as well as education and support afterwards are also important.

Being in the “brand as publisher” business is better than not creating any content at all, but it’s a much more effective thing to be purposeful in content creation & marketing according to the full customer experience. Seeing content engagement opportunities holistically can provide a company more ways to initiate, maintain and enhance customer relationships.

For example, in the context of online marketing, there are many different touch points during the customer relationship. Using the Buying Cycle model of: Awareness, Consideration, Purchase, Service and Loyalty, marketers can best plan what kind of content may be most appropriate to engage customers according to their needs.

For a holistic editorial plan, here are a few types of content and methods of communication to consider:
Awareness:
•    Public Relations
•    Advertising
•    Word of Mouth
•    Social Media

Consideration:
•    Search Marketing
•    Advertising
•    Social Media
•    Webinars
•    Product/Service Reviews
•    Blogs
•    Direct Response

Purchase:
•    Website
•    Social Commerce

Service:
•    Social Media (ASB Virtual Branch is a great example)
•    Social CRM
•    Online Messaging (LivePerson)
•    Email
•    Search – After the sale queries on FAQ, Knowledge-base content

Loyalty:
•    Email Newsletter
•    Webinars
•    Blog
•    Social Network, Forum – community

In the development of a content marketing strategy, there are numerous opportunities to be more relevant and effective. Planning content that’s meaningful to the customers you’re trying to engage according to where they are in the buying cycle and overall customer relationship provides for more efficiency in content creation as well as the repurposing of content.

Holistic content marketing and editorial planning also helps make better use of tactics that transcend the relationship timeline like SEO and Social Media.  It’s especially the case with holistic SEO that content producers can extend their reach and visibility to customers that are looking – not just to buy, but to engage with brands in other ways.

By considering the content needs across the customer lifecycle, not just acquisition or conversion, companies can become significantly more effective and efficient in their ability to connect relevant messages and stories with customers that are interested. The result: shorter sales cycles, better customer relationships and more word of mouth.

How is your company leveraging content throughout the customer relationship? Are you coordinating a content marketing strategy that integrates SEO and social media? Does it make sense that the business of content strategy and promotion of content extends beyond marketing?

“How to Use a Magazine to Improve Your Blog”

Today I want to do a little exercise with you that I’ve done from time to time over the last few years. Often when I’m sitting in a food court or something like that, I’ll grab a magazine from a newsagent or a newsstand. And then just whip through it, particularly looking at the front page of it and just sort of seeing what I can pick up. We’re in the publishing game, and so it’s worth taking a little bit of time from time to time just to see what others in the publishing game are doing in terms of promoting themselves and the content that they’re writing.

So what I’ve done today is I’ve grabbed a magazine off Mrs ProBlogger’s bedside table, and it’s a magazine that I’ve never really read before, but some of you may be familiar with it: Marie Claire, the Australian edition. And I want to just whip through some of the elements of this front page here, because I think, in terms of content and even the layout, there’s some things that we could learn as bloggers.

So obviously, I guess probably the most eye-catching thing, at least for me, is Jennifer Lopez there. I think one of the things about images on magazines, on blogs, that I’ve heard a number of studies on, is that faces—eyes—are the most eye-catching thing. I know in the photography magazine space, I’ve heard a variety of photography magazine editors who’ve talked about how they see much higher sales of magazines when there is a person on the front cover, rather than a thing or a scene. So that’s one thing.

I think the other thing about having Jennifer Lopez, having a name, on the front page is that people really do like to read about people. I know a lot of the content that I’ve written on my blogs over the years, when I interview someone, when I tell the story of someone, those types of posts tends to go quite well. We have this, I guess, voyeuristic kind of thing inside a lot of us that we like to see.

Let’s look at some of these titles here. “Look younger longer; cosmetic treatment tried and tested.” This looking younger longer, that’s tapping into sort of an aspirational thing, an inspirational kind of article, and it’s obviously something that is a felt need or desire that a lot of people have. And to put that with the “cosmetics treatment tried and tested” sort of article there makes sense. You’ve got the aspirational, but you’ve also got sort of a research-y type article—the results of a test. And again, I find those types of articles can work quite well, particularly if you can put it with an aspirational kind of theme.

“Catwalk cartels; models lured into drug smuggling.” There’s a story that’s a little bit sensational, I guess. Makes you wonder what is behind that story. “Desperate to be a dad; the desire men don’t talk about.” This is a women’s magazine, but obviously a lot of women would have an interest in finding a man that’s desperate to be a dad, and that sort of story can do quite well in that it’s talking about the desires of people, the needs of people.

“‘Fed and wed-off; where women are forced to be fat for marriage.” That’s certainly a story I’m going to have a flick through later to see what that’s about. There’s “438 sexy new styles”—a typical list post that many blogs would be familiar with. It’s a very comprehensive article, by the looks of things. I suspect it’s probably not that comprehensive, but 438 is a massive number there. And the “sexy new styles,” again, taps into this aspirational-type thing.”The work wear made easier; the style guide.” That, again, taps into people. It makes it sound a little bit easy, doesn’t it? This is the style guide. This is just what you have to follow.

This—”winter beauty SOS: ten simple ways to get your Glow Back”—this is an example of a seasonal article. This magazine came out sort of in the middle of the Australian winter, so it’s sort of seasonal. And again, it’s a felt need that people have in the middle of their winter doldrums. Then we have “What to buy now: the nine key pieces you’ll want this season and how to wear them.” Again, it’s sort of a seasonal thing. It’s a how-to article, and it’s very much about: this is just what you need to do. It’s instructional in some ways.

Now, this topic, this magazine’s probably not going to relate to many ProBlogger readers and the type of blogs that you have, but it’s just an example. If I was in fashion or beauty or that type of a niche, I’d be looking at these sort of titles to see what’s working for other people. And you can of course extend this further by opening it up and going through and looking at the way they lay out their articles, the headlines that they own, I think this type of thing can give you all kinds of ideas for your own blog.

So go out, find a magazine on your topic—or at least that relates to you—and see what they’re doing. You may reject some of it. It may not be your style, but you may also get some great ideas.

Hope that this has been helpful for you.

learning how to manage employees

Now that everyone has received the memo – or tweet – on social media,  a new memo has arrived on your office table: How does an organization manage employees who daily use social media to get things done?

That’s the question Forrester execs Josh Bernoff and Ted Schadler answer in their fine book, Empowered: Unleash Your Employees, Energize Your Customers, and Transform Your Business (Bernoff co-authored the bestselling book Groundswell with Charlotte Li). I met both authors at a New York mixer, and had also listened to Bernoff on a Harvard Business Review podcast.

Just as it has empowered customer choice online, social media has also empowered employee productivity. Empowered encourages businesses to make the most of that power shift.  A quote on page 16 sums up the authors’ mission:

“The tools to change your business, to become more responsive to these empowered consumers, aren’t the problem.  It’s the way your business runs that needs to change.”
Explaining the nuances of social media’s impact on customers

Empowered is a great read for the informed business owner. It’s grounded in Forrester research, naturally, and studies from various sources, but not excessively academic.  The insights are splendidly clear. Take the following quote on the traditional customer acquisition funnel, for example:

“In the funnel people became aware of your company, consider its products and then a few of them buy.  But now the mass influencers among your customers are broadcasting information about your products … This suggests a different view of the funnel, one in which sales is no longer the endpoint.  Once you have sold a customer, good service will create happiness.”

The first chapters elaborate on mass online influences, differentiated by social media personae called Mass Connectors and Mass Mavens.  Mass Connectors are people who share links in social networks, while Mass Mavens share opinions through blogs and discussion forums.  Examples demonstrate how success connecting to personae can come in unexpected ways.  For example, read how Ford’s well-regarded Fiesta Movement campaign had to create Fiesta enthusiasts first:

“Ford’s challenge is this: The people who talk about cars are well-off and influential, but rarely own Fords … Ford had to create customers by letting them drive the cars for a while to prime the pump and get the discussion going.”

The examinations have the right depth and scope to explain why certain social media contain nuanced opportunity. Mobile and text message topics are a welcome delight, advancing the social media discussion to territory where other books have failed.

How HEROes can save your business
Here come the HEROes, employees who take initiative to solve customers’ problems through the same social media tools customers casually use. As a result HEROes are in the best position to engage customers, increasing brand value, improving customer service and elevating awareness that leads to sales. Anyone can be a HERO, such as Leonard Bonacci who developed GuestAssist, a text messaging system to manage disruptive Philadelphia Eagles fans.  Fans with a problem send a text to a short code that matches their seat so that a rep can arrive to discreetly resolve the issue.

“Despite the ease of the system, only a few hundred messages get sent each season, few enough that they’re far more likely to help with satisfaction than to overwhelm the staff … Two years later the NFL made what the Eagles were doing a leaguewide practice.”

Although the case studies involve corporations, the ease of implementation implies that small businesses can use similar techniques.  Read the segment “If you sell to small businesses, marketing and customer service need to connect” to gain some ideas.

Create accord between IT and management to best serve your customers
Later chapters examine the implementation of HERO activity organization-wide, as Empowered offers solutions to help innovate and collaborate on HEROes ideas to create effective strategic advantage.

“The problem in a HERO-powered business isn’t coming up with ideas. The problem is figuring out which of those ideas should be nurtured and which should not.”

One definitive step is to not block social media usage among HEROes.   You’ll hurt your business more in terms of productivity and costs by trying to block a genie that is already out of the bottle, according to Bernoff and Schadler’s interviews with employees.  Instead, the authors advocate “speed and collaboration” to systematically:
•    Build collaboration systems that extend existing tools
•    Make sure anyone participating gets value instantly
•    Dedicate people to the rollout
•    Solve 80 percent of the problem, then stop and listen
•    Build adoption slowly and virally

The authors also suggest aligning HERO social media usage to business objectives through management’s assessment of project risk and IT’s re-imagined role as educator and risk mitigator. Here’s a quote about the role of the IT department in a HERO environment:

“IT has two new jobs :
1.    Train and educate information workers about how to keep themselves safe
2.    Help HEROes assess, manage and mitigate risks associated with their projects.

Note what is included here: IT is not responsible for risk. Instead, people in IT must advise workers to keep them safe, and help them to improve the security of what they do.”

Savvy insights on IT and management roles abound, particularly useful in a world now acclimated to cloud computing and SaaS. Cross-organizational councils are also suggested, as well as a HERO “compact” to best promote roles and responsibilities.

If you want to grow your business, read this book
I love the potential Empowered has to teach small businesses the nuances in social media, marketing and customer service to profitable result.  The book complements other social media and marketing books, as well as service books like Service Innovation, but it truly stands alone as a resource for how an organization can be revitalized from within and in the eyes of its customers.

open your mind to produce the money

Two years ago I stumbled across the concept of blogging for money.  Instantly it hit me as the perfect thing: sit behind a computer, design a site, write, be my own boss, work from home, what could be better? I knew nothing about traffic, SEO, backlinks, Pagerank, or keywords.  I knew nothing about how to make money with a website.  So what did I do next?  I registered the domain name how this website makes money.

Looking back all I can do is laugh at my arrogance.  Like thousands before me and thousands who will come after me, my first attempt at blogging was a site about making money online.
Two years later, I know how to start a site, I know how to write content, I know about SEO, I know about backlinks, I know how to add advertisements … but I still do not know how to make good money online.  The site makes dimes a day, not dollars.

The site has been two years of disappointment.  Two  years of waking up in the morning and seeing the same green egg in AdSense.  Two years of waiting for a four-digit affiliate check with my name on it.  Two years of working without pay.  Two years of scratching my head.

So I asked for advice, and every time the reply was the same: create a site about something else. Create a site about what you know and what you enjoy.  Do not create a site with the intent to make money, create a site with the intent to help people by doing something you enjoy doing.

What happened when I changed my intent
Six months ago I created a new site.  This time my intent was pure pleasure.
I live in Prague and I love it here.  So I made a little site about how great Prague is and what people should do when they come for a visit.  It was built in a month.  In a gust of activity I designed the site and wrote the content.

It was so easy.   I did not agonize over what to write about.  The content flowed effortlessly from my head to the keyboard.  I did not have to take long walks with the dog or waste water standing dazed in the shower coming up with new ideas.  I just sat down at the computer and wrote about what I know.  It was so easy I actually looked forward to it.

As an afterthought, I created a simple page where people can order a real postcard from Prague.  Visitors select a picture of Prague and fill out a form indicating what they want written on the postcard.  After they hit the Submit button I get the request by email.  I grab a postcard and, like an ancient scribe long before computers, lick the tip of the pen and write.  After pounding a Prague stamp on the postcard I toss it into the mailbox on my way to work. I charge $4.00 for this five minutes of work.

I created this site with no aspirations of becoming rich, no day dreams of shaking hands with Oprah, no imagined scenes of telling my employer to find some other donkey to kick around. I created the website because it was easy for me to do and I enjoyed it. I made it because I needed a break from my ‘real’ website. I expected nothing to happen.

Again, I was wrong.
My hand is ink blue from all the postcards I have written.
I wrote a postcard from a son playing a trick on his mother: “Hi, Mom!  Sorry for not calling in last few days.  But I am in Prague with friends.  Having a great time and the beer is sooo cheap.  Say hi to Dad.”

I have written postcards to countries all over the world.  Some of them in languages other then English—I have no idea what I am writing. Fortunately, the order form does not allow Chinese characters!

I get emails from people thanking me for the information they found on the site, thanking me for the postcard, asking for more information.

I feel like I am making the world a better place.  I made a website about something I know about and am interested in and people are thanking me. Emotionally it is a soft, warm, fuzzy ball.

And yes, I am making money.
Intend to enjoy and you might make money
I learned a lot about making money online not from my site about making money, but from licking postage stamps.

New arrivals to the make-money-online scene go through the same initiation—they start out with the intent to make money, then fail to make more then a pile of pennies.  For some it means the end and they quit, but for others this brutal introduction teaches them that their intent needs to change.

Of course, making money is about traffic, clicks, affiliates, backlinks SEO, but it’s also about finding something you enjoy doing.  If your intent is only to make money the odds are stacked against you: you will probably quit.  But if your intent is to do something you enjoy then you will keep moving forward until one day, you will be surprised to find that you are making money.

What’s your intent?

developig online business strategies in social media

Demystifying better social media marketing often starts with doing a better job of connecting with customers. But how can you connect with customers if you don’t know who they are?

Do you know who your customers are? Do you know what they search for and talk about on social networks? What influences them to buy or to recommend things to others?

While I’m pretty sure an entire book or two could be written about the details behind the art and science of developing personas and profiles, here are a few quick tips you can implement right now to get started.

I first heard of personas from Shar VanBoskirk of Forrester at a MIMA Summit in 2005. She discussed methodology for persona development and it seemed a very smart way to better segment and personalize marketing communications to be more relevant and effective. At the time, there weren’t a lot of resources for small businesses to implement.

To start, here are some considerations:
•    What are your customers content preferences?
•    How do they discover, consume & share content?
•    What are they looking for on search engines and discussing on the social web?

The answers to questions like these can help marketers make important decisions about content marketing strategy, social media channels of focus and measurement via social monitoring and web analytics.

Developing a profile involves collecting data, aggregating and analyzing it into profiles and maintaining the personas based on ongoing measurement and analysis.

Starting point: Getting data to develop personas. Here are a few ideas on where to get the information from which you can aggregate profiles representing customer segments you’re trying to engage:
•    Survey existing customers aka “Ask them”
•    Web analytics & conversion data
•    Social media listening tools
•    Demographic info from Quantcast, Compete
•    Keyword info SEMRush, Google
•    Engagement info from PostRank
•    Aggregate social network information from Flowtown, Rapleaf (assuming you have an email list)

The data you collect can be compiled and analyzed to reveal common characteristics for persona development. Then that persona can guide everything from the kind of content planned on landing pages, blogs and social media. It can also guide engagement via social channels.

I’ll follow this post up with another giving a few examples of how persona’s can be put into action.

If you’ve tested or implemented personas with social media marketing, please share your experiences. What worked? What didn’t? What questions do you have?

start internet marketing tips

In the beginning stages of the Internet, say four or five years ago, a company’s online business was pretty simple. All they needed to do was to put up a site with images of their goods, put in ecommerce and simply wait for the orders to start coming in. Things have changed a lot since then, and today an online business needs a clear content strategy based on an ever-increasing popularity of real time interaction. The company needs to stay a step ahead of the market, providing relevant and useful information on their web sites. Any business needs a strategy, and online business is no exception.

Most companies today have FaceBook and Twitter accounts to help promote their businesses. Read on to get a few tips on how you can get a content strategy of your own. At least there are 4 channels that you should implement :

Blogs
Having a blog is a great ideas to promote awareness about your company. The key to running a successful blog is to give your audience useful information which would make whatever tasks in question, easier to handle. Make it useful to THEM, do not just speak of what YOU want to speak about. If your company makes hardware tools why not put in a few DIY articles on your blog to help your users get the optimum out of the tools? Most people who read blogs quickly get accustomed to a particular blog for a particular subject, and they stay faithful to it. As long as your content is useful and regularly updated, you can expect loyal readers to start trickling in.

Even before you start to design a web site or a blog, you need to have a clear idea on the requirement of the same. Ask yourself why you even want the web site? What is it supposed to convey? Who is your target audience, and what age group do they belong to? How would you ensure that all content on the site would truly be useful to that target audience? You need to do more than just provide information on products, you need to publish readable content to engage the viewers.

SEO

Search Engine Optimization is not as big as it used to be, but it still is important. It is definitely a bad idea to try and stuff your articles with key words. On the other hand, a few key words thoughtfully put into text would not harm either. The bottom line is - write truly useful content and you will probably use the relevant key words in any case! Don’t forget to properly name all image files as well. All in all, make your content search engine friendly.

Social Media
Social Media is bigger than ever today. Why not tell people about your company on facebook or twitter? Once you have a few fans and followers on social media, your web site would get a lot more traffic from genuine users. You can easily integrate a facebook ‘like’ button on your site. Most Internet users would not mind taking just a second to click on a ‘like’ button to promote something they truly like!

10 essential steps that must be considered in blogging beginners

This post comes from someone who has made a ton of mistakes and is on her way to learn from those mistakes. You and I probably have a lot in common … after all, you’re here to learn about blogging and how to do it well and, well, I’m trying to do the same.

Being the owner and author of a blog that is in its first year of infancy, it’s been an emotional roller coaster ride—kind of like riding a car with a driver who makes you think of your impending death thanks to their inept braking skills and their random urges to switch lanes (without looking).

As a new blogger in a very crowded niche, I’ve found the year tough. It’s been tough finding my voice among so many others, producing content that is rich and teaches others a thing or two, attracting traffic that sticks (subscribers)—all while trying to establish a schedule.

Still, it helps to be prepared. Here are ten things that will crush your little heart in your first year of blogging :

1. You’re still waking up to low subscriber levels.
After eight months, only 100 subscribers are subscribing to your blog feed. Yeah, that will kill you inside. You might smile on the outside and tell yourself all’s well … but you’ll have to swallow your pride and evaluate how you’re hindering your blog’s growth. Are you presenting your readers with boring content? Or do you need to guest blog to bring exposure to your new blog?

2. You realize that attracting visitors is more than just good SEO.
Sooner or later, you’ll realize that attracting visitors to your blog is more than just good SEO (long-term strategy). At that point, it’s time to buckle down and learn how to use Twitter, su.pr, and Facebook properly to garner thousands of views a month.
This type of social media marketing needs to be done, and done well. And it will take you more than a few minutes to promote your content properly and on a daily basis. No one wants to simply hear noise on their media streams—give them that, and they’ll quickly stop paying attention to you.

3. You realize what SEO entails.
Eventually, it dawns on every budding blogger that SEO involves much more than just incorporating your keywords into your content excessively and using keyword rich links. If you want search traffic, you need to spend a few hours a month learning about SEO and actually executing it. It’s amazing how much time I’ve spent catching up on SEO, but I’m still not using it properly. I bet you’re not, either.

4. You fail to monetize your blog.
When you don’t earn even a measly $100 per month from your blog, despite trying hard, it hurts. But earning money through your blog is more than slapping ads on it. Keep trying!

5. You realize there are no easy ways to make money through your blog.
It’s absolutely essential that you write great, unique content and create a list of subscribers who love that content. It’s not 2001 anymore! People have become wary of the Internet, and they want proof of your success before they’ll trust you. Give it to them.

6. You understand that you need to do more for others.
You want subscribers? You need to do more. To get that list going, you should probably create a handy, free ebook or report that deals with a topic related to your blog, and helps your readers. Yes, you do have to help others in order to help yourself.

7. You recognize that good content can take more than an hour to create.
Great content will definitely take more than an hour, especially if you’re a beginner. Anyone can produce good content. You’ll need to write unique and in-depth content to give your readers something to talk about and impress other fellow bloggers—to get the buzz going, so to speak.

8. You realize that people want to read specifics and in-depth case studies.
Your readers can find generic crap anywhere. There are tons of blogs that talk about growing your traffic or making money online … and the majority are boring!
Instead, show readers how you’ve helped someone grow traffic or what strategies you’ve implemented to make money through your blog. This is precisely what I did when I showed my readers how exact domain names can kill the competition! This kind of content takes a bit of time and experience to develop. Keep plugging away!

9. You understand that networking is a necessity, not an option.
This doesn’t mean you re-tweet someone’s post occasionally. You need to converse with your followers, ask questions, and interact with other bloggers—successful ones as well as beginners in your niche and peer bloggers who started around the time you did. Create a group that helps promote each others’ posts. You never know who will get your hype snowball rolling.

10. You realize that you’ve been doing most things wrong!
Just because you knew all this stuff doesn’t mean you executed it at all, or executed it properly. At the time when I started my blog, I thought I knew something about blogs and making money online. But that learning is an ongoing process. Once you realize this, you might feel momentary despair. That’s okay—as long as you continue to take steps and improve your efforts.

Despite all these things that might have you sobbing under the blanket with a pint of scotch, hopefully you’ll realize that you should keep going. In fact, if you love what you’re blogging about, the pure thrill of having your content go viral or making your first few sales will probably have you giggling like a school girl and make you realize that it’s all worth it.
I’ve made all these mistakes and then some and I won’t be quitting any time soon! What mistakes have you made in your blogging experience? Share them with us!

Online Business Opportunities

How To Get on The Right Track, Build Your Own Online Business and Make Money On The Internet?

There are thousands and thousands of people all over the world who really make money on the Internet, either as a full time online business, part time business or just as an extra income. The opportunity to work at home and make money online or to build a full-blown home based online business is wide open for anybody nowadays.

However, if you are an ordinary person looking for an online business opportunity or some real work from home online job, we must warn you. There are genuine, 100% legitimate online business opportunities on the Internet that you can benefit from without shadow of a doubt, but there are also many scammers who promote so-called 'get rich quick' schemes, promising you hundreds of thousands, even millions of dollars overnight.

We have been involved in Internet marketing since 2002 and we know exactly what works, how it works and what doesn’t work when it comes to any kind of online business. There is no 'get rich quick' program that works, there will never be. Period. Stay away from all such programs and invest only in legitimate, time-tested, proven online business opportunities and ways to make money online.

We know what it takes to build a profitable online business. We are helping people like you to make money online by showing you the best ways to
  • build a real, full time online business and become your own boss
  • earn money online through the best online income opportunities currently available
  • work from home and earn extra income on the internet while still having a regular job
  • make money fast using time-tested online business systems
  • find the best books, courses and coaching programs and skip the information overload
  • choose and use the most effective internet marketing tools
  • build and promote your websites successfully
  • and much more

To be more specific, here are just some of the ways in which you can make money on the Internet, that we recommend and approve as legitimate online business and work at home opportunities :
  • affiliate marketing - make money online with other people’s products, without ever creating a single product of your own
  • selling products with resell rights - sell those products online as if you were the creator and keep all the profits
  • creating your own in-demand, highly profitable information products such as ebooks, reports, videos, home study courses etc. and selling them on the internet for huge profits
  • creating and selling software/scripts (with or without programming skills)
  • online currency trading such as Forex trading
  • building Google Adsense sites
  • selling advertising space
  • domain flipping
  • website flipping
  • content provider business (writing)
  • selling SEO services (link building, search engine optimization)
  • selling (or reselling) web hosting
  • make money through auction sites like eBay
  • make money by taking data entry jobs
  • make money by doing paid online surveys
  • make money through network marketing
  • and more
The key to success with online business, especially for starters, is to focus on one way to make money online until you master it. Pick just one online business opportunity that you feel is genuine and right for you, work on it and you'll be on your way to success.

But we'll be honest with you. You aren't going to become an online business success overnight, and the reason for this is simple. Every online business venture is entitled to some amount of "trial and error." However, by reading this guide before you decide on the nature and direction of your online business, you can be sure to eliminate as much of the "trial and error" as possible. Allways keep your long term goals in mind. Don't be thinking about "tomorrow," be thinking about "three years from now." If you don't have any long term goals, then set aside a few hours of your day to determine where you want your business to be one year from now, two years from now, and three years from now.

Before you start your first online business, make sure that you have gotten as much research done beforehand as possible. This will cut down on the level of "trial and error" that you must suffer through. Set the long terms goals for yourself to shoot for, and commit yourself to focus and consistency.

It's impossible to become an online business owner simply by dreaming about it. If you want to become an online business owner, you need to take action to pull these dreams into reality.

Make Money Taking Online Surveys

Are you looking for a legitimate way to make money online? Maybe you want some extra spending money. Or perhaps you need the money to pay bills. Either way, getting paid for filling out simple surveys can be a fun and lucrative way to earn that extra cash.

In fact, there’s quite a lot of money to be had — and the cool thing is that you can earn it in your spare time. Any time you can spare a few minutes — or a few hours, you can make money.

It’s easy too. Once you have signed up with the right survey companies, all you have to do is check your email and pick the best surveys, and you’re off to earning money every time you fill in the blanks.

Want to get started right away? Visit Survey Mastermind and enter your details (It’s a Free Service) and you will start receiving surveys to fill out and start earning. Click Here to start now!

And if you’re wondering why anyone would care about your opinion, let alone pay you good money for it, read on. There’s a reason why you can make real money with surveys:
Countless companies, including the largest international corporations, are desperately trying to find out what consumers want. And they’re willing to pay a whole lot of money for market research.

But they still have a problem. How can they connect with you, the consumer? It’s not all that easy, so they hire survey companies to help them find out what people think about their products and what they would be most likely to buy in the future. They also want to know what it will take to get people to buy…

And if you sign up, you’ll become part of that cutting edge market research.
It’s really cool. You may have the chance to find out about new products long before they actually become available in stores. You might get to play video games that haven’t even been released yet. And you might get to watch trailers for movies that haven’t even finished filming yet. And the best part…. you get paid for your “efforts.”

That’s because paying for you to take surveys is the quickest and easiest way for a company to get the information and feedback they need. And believe it or not, even when they pay thousands of people several dollars each for fill it in even one quick survey, it’s cheaper (and more effective) for them than many other forms of market research. And it’s way cheaper than making a costly mistake.

Remember the NEW Coke? What a disaster that was! And it would have been so easy to prevent. All they had to do was ask people what they thought of the idea and they would have known better than to mess with a tried and true formula.
But noooo. The company executives thought they knew what was best — and they fell flat on their face.

So surveys can be essential for a company’s survival. And they know it and are willing to pay for it. So why not let them pay you?

Now you’re probably wondering what it will take to connect with those big companies and get paid for sharing your opinion?

All you have to do is find the right surveys… And the easiest way to do that is to join a club that specializes in helping consumers like you and me to hook up with the surveys that pay the most money.

And the best one of those clubs we have found is a website called SurveyMastermind. Unlike a lot of other survey sites out there, it’s a Free Service. Not only that, but they also specialize in connecting you with surveys that actually pay. And as soon as you join and sign up with the companies they recommend, you will start receiving surveys to fill out… and start earning.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Is making money with surveys difficult?
Not at all. You just need to be able to answer a few simple questions and fill in some details, and you’re ready to earn a nice income from taking online surveys and helping companies with their market research.

How do I pick the right survey sites?
Start by joining a survey club that will connect you with the best sites. After all, how much you can earn will depend on which survey sites you sign up for. Some of those sites will pay you money every time you fill out a survey, while others use more of a sweepstakes approach, and offer cash and prize draws to those who fill out their surveys.

SurveyMastermind will help you find survey sites that pay cash for surveys. Many other sites mostly send you surveys that offer prizes and points, so you need to be careful.
No matter which site you sign up for, though, they ultimately all work the same way. You tell them your basic information and then they start sending you surveys whenever they become available.

However, the quality of the surveys you get can vary widely. That’s why SurveyMastermind is so helpful. They pre-screen the actual survey sites for you and steer you to the ones that pay the most, and away from those that just waste your time.
How will it work?

First you join SurveyMastermind. Then, you’ll get access to a list of pre-screened survey companies which in turn will send you the surveys.

You sign up for several of those companies and fill out your profile with as much information as you can. This will help the site in deciding which surveys to send to whom.

Do all survey companies pay cash?
No they don’t. SurveyMastermind will be sure to steer you towards survey companies that have lots of cash-paying surveys and away from those that don’t.

How much can I earn?
The amount you will receive for each survey or market research exercise varies between sites and countries, and it depends on the amount of time each one will take you. One site pays between $4 and $50 which is about average, although most surveys will be at the lower end of the scale. Of course, you can fill in several surveys per hour, so the earnings can add up.

Can I answer the surveys any time I want?
Yes you can. However, you should know that you’re usually competing with other survey takers. Each survey may only need to be answered by a set number of people and they often send it to more than is needed to make sure they get enough replies. The sooner you can complete each one and send it back, the better – and the faster your money will add up too.

Is there anything else I need to know?
Make sure you set up a new email account purely for use with your survey sites. After all, you will be getting lots of emails to plough through, and you don’t want them all going into your normal accounts. That way, you won’t have to sort through them to find your personal email. You also don’t risk missing a potentially lucrative survey in an inbox full of personal email.

Make Money Online With The Kidblogger

Everyone seems to want to be the big fish in the big pond these days when it comes to both website traffic and subscribers to their blog. Don’t get me wrong I love looking at my stats page too and I’m no stranger to hitting the F5 key repeatedly hoping that my feed count has gone up. However I’ve learnt over time (the hard way) that its quality and not quantity that really matters when it comes to making real money on the net.

To give you an idea of just how much you can make from so little I’ll give you an example. I have a small blog in the travel sector that never gets more than 50 visitors a day yet consistently makes over $400 a month. To some of you this will sound impossible but when you understand the mechanics of what’s actually happening it’s quite simple. To help prove my case ill list a few essential rules for creating this type of site.
  1. The traffic you get to this site must be looking to buy.You will know this if they find your site by typing a buying keyword into Google such as “discount vacations in Colorado”. The fact that they are adding a price modifier such as “discount/cheap/luxury” means this visitor is really thinking about making a purchase, if they find your site using a buying keyword then affiliate commission won’t be far away.
  2. I mentioned the phrase “discount vacations in Colorado” above and I really wasn’t joking about building a site around something so specific. You see if a query is very specific it means the person searching for it knows exactly what they want and in most cases they need very little selling to seal the deal. In the marketing industry this is known as the “long tail” which really just another way of saying an obscure or abstract term.
  3. Understanding volume is very important when it comes to the long tail. You see many people look down on these terms/phrases in the industry because of the low volume but this is one of main reasons the long tail works so well. Because everyone else is ignoring such a specific but still high value term there can often be very low or in some cases no competition at all. That doesn’t mean there won’t be sites on the net out there that have a page or two on the phrase but because you are going to build a whole site around the term who do you think Google is going to choose?
  4. My last essential rule is probably one of the most important but one that many people have as an after-thought. While Google adsense is great for a one size fits all solution it will rarely earn you the most money from your traffic. Instead find a big site who is actually selling this product or service in large volume (so they know what they are doing and know how to convert traffic into sales). Once you’ve signed up to their affiliate program you want to get something from them that you can integrate into your site to help convert your traffic.
Remember everyone ignores banner ads now but something interactive like a search of products or a carousel of latest offers will attract people’s eyes. Also don’t be afraid to put it somewhere prominent on your site, I mean don’t go crazy and have it the full size of your page but somewhere near the top should be fine. Essentially you want it to be the first thing they see and because it’s exactly want they are looking for a sale won’t be far away. They get the product they need and you get the commission for finding it for them, everybody wins!

I don’t want to give the impression that everything I’ve listed is all you need to make some quick and easy money from the Google/website combo. You need some luck in picking the right niche at the right time and also some hard work in promoting the site and building content. However if I can do it I really believe anyone can. Trust me that there is money out there for the little guy if you look in the right places. Until next time, PB.

PB has started a new blog helping internet marketers come up with some great ideas to earn money online easily from home. There’s lots of free advice for both veterans of internet marketing and newbie’s alike.

make money from home

I have explained previously about how I make money from home with work while hanging out with family. this is already evidenced by the thousand or even millions of people who have managed to create income from home as typist from home

Below represents a guide (Initial Steps to Build the Company From Home) for those of you who want to build a company, where you are not busy struggling to never even see your own family.

At the present time many demands of work force we need to work extra to make ends meet more of our economy. but the demands of the job has a level of busyness that is different, therefore the present moment most people around the world want a second job and can do at home can get additional revenue.

A lot of work that can bring in extra income we can do at home. especially in our homes already equipped with a set of computer and internet connection that can be relied upon. such as typing at home, perhaps an online business circles this work is already familiar to them, this work is in addition to providing additional income for us this work also does not require much expertise, it's just that we are required to be typed by using the computer. not easy ... ..

To the problem of payment is not half-hearted, the system is paid depending on how much we do and we put in the website (input data). means more that we do so the more we will get paid while working at home.

Not good than we can gather with family at home, we can also work while getting additional revenue. this kind of work is a modern step for life in future.

Where should I register for a job like this?

Yes .... probably a very good question I think you should be able to estimate how many hours you have for your spare time to get used to doing a job that was offered after you have received by companies that need employees like you. for the next steps you can directly join the program. program was very often found on the internet such as :

1. http://www.typistjobs.net/
2. http://www.powerhomebiz.com/vol2/typing.htm
3. http://www.dataentrylogic.com/
and much more

For my advice before you joined the company, make sure the website provides discussion forums, because that's where we will get information about the program.

Typist From Home

 Typist From Home

There are several companies on the internet that advertise the availability of "home employment" through home typist or ad typist "jobs" with their companies.

But, if you've thought about joining any of these programs, and if you’re a newcomer to making money online, you'd be well advised to learn about affiliate marketing and how affiliate marketing works BEFORE you pay a fee to sign on with any of these programs. That way, you can make a more informed decision as to whether or not these opportunities would be a good fit for you before you fork over your money.

The truth is, if you sign on with any of these companies hoping to be "employed” as an "ad typist," "home typist," "Typist From Home",or "independent typist," you will not be "hired" as an "employee" of the company as their advertising suggests.

Most often, the opposite is true. So most newcomers do one of the following AFTER they pay their fee :
  1. They spend hours a day, day after day, typing ads all over the internet for very little or no pay,
  2. They spend hours and hours typing ads, and give up in frustration (and with no return on the fee they paid),
  3. They spend hours and hours typing ads, give up, and request a refund, but are denied the full amount they paid to get into the program, or
  4. Even though they were told that typing ads was all that they would have to do to earn an income, they realize that typing ads alone doesn't work, and so, after having paid a fee, they begin the process of learning how to make money as an affiliate marketer (which is what they could have done for FREE had they known up front what they really getting into).

Information and advice on how to work at home or locally doing typing jobs :

If you are good at typing, know your way round Microsoft Word and Office and can handle spreadsheets then you have a skill that people will pay for. You can earn cash payments for typing at home or in someone's home or office.

For example some authors, like Jeffrey Archer, still write their novel manuscripts in longhand in notebooks. They will then pay someone to type the manuscript out, provide a printed hard copy and several saved discs and pen drive copies. Though a top author will most likely have their own personal assistant there are still authors and writers who are looking for someone to type their work. This could be on a freelance or regular basis

A realistic charge for normal work would be about £4 per thousand words. Some typists charge an hourly rate of pay. You can negotiate fees with your client and could charge a bit extra for work needed in a hurry. You may want to agree on expenses such as paper, ink cartridges, pen drives, CDs, disks etc. If you do not intend to charge your clients for these costs you should add these to your income tax expense sheets along with any computer and printer equipment you have had to purchase or replace. Any repair work should also be added to your tax expense sheets. This should be at a percentage if any equipment or office supplies are used in your personal life or used by other members of your family.
